Refund Policy

Last updated: 25 May 2026. Effective immediately for all paid subscriptions.

This Refund Policy explains when and how you can request a refund for a paid Kestrel subscription. It applies in addition to your statutory rights under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013; nothing here limits or removes those rights.

Free trial

Every new Kestrel subscription starts with a 14-day free trial. We take your card details when you start the trial, but you are not charged during it. If you decide Kestrel isn't for you, cancel before the trial ends (from Settings then Account in the app, or the billing portal) and you keep access until the trial expires with nothing to pay. If you don't cancel, your first payment is taken automatically when the trial ends, and the paid-subscription refund terms below then apply.

First paid subscription (14-day money-back guarantee)

When your first paid month or year begins, you have 14 days to request a full refund, no questions asked. Email info@alvesrowe.com from your account email within 14 days of the first charge and we'll process the refund to the original payment method. Your access to Kestrel ends as soon as the refund is processed.

Annual renewals (14-day money-back guarantee)

When an annual subscription auto-renews, the same 14-day refund window applies again. If you didn't intend to renew, email info@alvesrowe.com within 14 days of the renewal charge and we'll process a full refund. Access ends when the refund is processed. This 14-day window is in addition to the 30-day price-change notice we provide before any price increase on renewal.

After the 14-day window

Once the 14-day window has passed, we don't refund the unused portion of your current monthly or annual period. You can cancel any time in Settings → Account; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid period. Until then you keep full access.

Cancellation is not a refund

Cancelling your subscription stops it auto-renewing. It does not automatically refund what you've already paid for the current period. To request a refund within the 14-day window, email info@alvesrowe.com as well as cancelling.

How to request a refund

Email info@alvesrowe.com from the email address on your Kestrel account. Include your activation key or order reference. We aim to acknowledge within 1 business day and process eligible refunds within 5 business days. Your bank may take a further 3-10 days to reflect the refund on your statement.

UK consumer statutory rights

If you're a consumer in the UK, you have a statutory right to cancel a digital subscription within 14 days of purchase under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. The 14-day money-back guarantee described above provides this right and is offered in addition to any other statutory protections you have. Nothing in this Policy excludes or limits liability for matters that cannot be excluded under UK law.
